We begin our new church year with the theme of “Life.” This multigenerational service is our annual celebration of the Gathering of the Waters. Please bring a sample of water that you’ve collected through your summer adventures. Mark Zimmerman and the MVUC Choir are back and we welcome our intern Kären Rasmussen.

“The Food Chain”

The most fundamental components of life are food and water, yet are we paying enough attention to this scared element of the cycle of life? We’ll learn what’s worth celebrating every day, and what is threatening our existence.

September 26
“85 Adults and 110 Children”
The Rev. Kate R. Walker
It’s time to celebrate our 55th birthday! With one invitation, 85 adults brought their children to begin a liberal religious community for their first worship service on the last Sunday of September in 1955. We’ll thank some of them in person today. And we’ll talk about what’s in store for the next 50-plus years of MVUC.
