Lifespan Spiritual Growth Council
The Lifespan Spiritual Growth Council (LSGC) is the body that works to encourage the lifelong journey of faith development, acts as the coordinating body of all religious education committees, and serves as a resource to the Lifespan Spiritual Growth (LSG) staff, offers encouragement and support to volunteers, guide the direction of the RE programs, and ensures that the desires and mission of the congregation in the area of religious education are met. Sub committees include Our Whole Lives (Human sexuality program) and Communications. The committee meets monthly, and is open to all.

Lifespan Spiritual Growth Staff
The Director of Lifespan Spiritual Growth (DLSG) at Mt. Vernon Unitarian Church is Ann Richards. She is a life-long Unitarian Universalist and credentialed religious educator who has served at MVUC for seven years. The DLSG’s responsibilities include working in concert with the LSGC to set goals for the LSG program and development of philosophy concerning religious growth and learning, manage the LSG budget, advocate for the LSG Program, oversee safety practices for LSG, oversee Sunday religious education classes for children, oversee education classes and workshops for adults, participate in leading worship, and plan for celebrations and multigenerational events.
The Religious Education Assistant Jim Kerr has served Mt. Vernon Unitarian Church for 15 years. He supports teachers and leaders by coordinating registration and providing supplies for. He also maintains databases for program registrants, attendance, program history, as well as coordinating Multigenerational events such as Game Night and the Easter Egg Hunt.
