Classes for Children and Youth

Sunday morning curriculum-based Religious Education classes for children and youth (Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade) are offered during the 11:15 a.m. Sunday services during the September – June Church year. During the summer, more interactive classes are offered in a multi-age setting to PreK – 5th grade children. Classes meet after For All Ages in the service.

Nursery care for children under age 3 is available year round.

After Easter, children in Kindergarten through 5th grade usually participate in The Green Hill Project, an environmental curriculum that takes children outside to undertake hands-on activities to learn about and care for our immediate environment – from bog gardening, to wildlife, the water cycle and “from seed to market” – as well as the environment of our larger world and things we can do to be responsible stewards of the earth.

The following Sunday morning curriculum-based classes are offered during the 11:15 a.m. church service in 2018 – 2019:

Pre-Kindergarten – Kindergarten:  Spirit Play

1st – 3rd Grade:  Moral Tales and Signs of Our Faith: Being UU Every Day

4th – 5th Grade:  Toolbox of Faith and In Search of Myths and Heroes

6th – 8th Grade:  Amazing Grace: Exploring Right and Wrong and Heeding the Call: Qualities of a Justice Maker

9th – 12th Grade:  Young Religious Unitarian Universalists (YRUU)
