There are many opportunities for fun music endeavors here at MVUC! Join us!

Adult Choir
We welcome singers for worship services 3-4 Sundays a month. Need to be able to read music and hold your part. Please speak directly with Mark. We have fun and try and create a worshipful atmosphere for our services. music@mvuc.org
Handbell Choir
Laura Sailer will be our new handbell Director. It helps to read music a bit and count rhythms. Play for worship on holidays – Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, Music Sunday. It’s fun! Check with Mark. music@mvuc.org
Hum and Strum
Marty Bredeck runs the program. We meet Fridays once a month, 6:30 – 9:00. Usually by the campfire or in the fireplace in the Commons. Bring your string instruments and singing voices. Books provided. No special skills required. Triptoph@gmail.com
Windmill Jazz Collective
Are you interested in playing jazz and already play an instrument? If so, the Windmill Jazz Collective is an opportunity waiting for you to explore your jazz chops. When the WJC is not rehearsing for an impending performance, you can jam with the band—once, regularly, or occasionally. Rehearsals are 6:00-7:30 pm in the MVUC chapel on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Thursdays of the month and in the George Mason Regional Library on 2nd and 4th Thursdays. They perform occasionally at MVUC and the surrounding area. For further information, contact Tom Griffin, grifthomas@gmail.com.
Finally, if anyone knows of a great children’s choir director, please speak to Mark (music@mvuc.org) or Ann (dlsg@mvuc.org). Thanks!
