A recent UN Report found that the most dangerous place for a woman is inside her home. Women continue to pay a deadly price for gender inequality, discrimination and negative stereotypes and are more likely to be killed by family members and partners. Is vulnerability and letting go of the shame of abuse the key to keeping women safer inside their homes? We can practice compassion and embracing vulnerability by remembering the first UU Principle of acknowledging the inherent worth and dignity of every person.
