Founded in 1974, Friends of Guest House provides Northern Virginia female ex-offenders the structure, support and assistance necessary for them to make a successful transition from incarceration back into the community. By addressing the root causes of the cycle of crime and providing physical and emotional tools, FofGH offers their clients tangible help to prevent them from re-offending. Their program focuses on core issues ranging from trauma and addiction to housing and employment. According to national statistics, 70% of ex-offenders re-offend within two years compared to only 10% of the graduates of Friends of Guest House.
