VIC-HOP – Sign up to join the MVUC team! Hypothermia Outreach Program

Ventures in Community’s Hypothermia Outreach Program (VIC-HOP) is a temporary overnight shelter operated by County staff and supported by volunteer faith and non-profit organizations December – March.  For years, MVUC has enthusiastically supported this program as it addresses many of our core principles of caring, respect, sharing, and building community support.

On Thursday nights, we are being asked to provide a warm dinner for 30, serve the meal and clean-up.  In addition, we are being asked to provide 24 nutritious breakfast bags. You are welcome to sign-up for any of these tasks.

MVUC is responsible for Thursday nights in December, January, and March.

Annual Training: Fairfax County will schedule a training day in November at Rising Hope. All are welcome.
