We warmly welcome you to Sunday worship services. Everyone is invited to join us.

Sunday worship at MVUC – Fall 2022.

Worship services are currently being held on Sundays at 10:00am: in-person in our Meeting House, live-streamed to YouTube, and also available for viewing later on YouTube.

Worship services include elements such as a sermon, hymns, readings, time for reflection, music, and an offering. Our minister is in the pulpit about three times per month, except for summer months when they are off for vacation and study break.  When the minister is not present, we have guest speakers which may include guest ministers and lay speakers. Worship services are approximately an hour in length. You can listen to or watch some of the recent services online. The most recent Order of Service is available online and at a QR code in the Meeting House each Sunday.

Worship services offer spiritual experience, while also engaging intellectual ideas.  The entire congregation, including the children, meet for the first 15 minutes of every service after which the children leave for their religious education classes. This part of worship usually includes welcoming words, a hymn, a musical piece, and a “Time for All Ages” which is often a participatory story.  Sometimes we add creative elements such as dramatic readings, liturgical dance or poetry.

Certain services, such as those before the Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter holidays, are Multi-generational. Everyone – adults and children – worship together for the entire service. These services frequently include elements that are geared to participants of all ages, and are developed by the Minister in collaboration with the Director of Lifespan Spiritual Growth.
